Experience & Employment Summary:

Prior to Know-how Consulting founded in 2008, Matt was Executive Vice President of Product Operations for Hoana Medical, Inc., responsible for Research & Development, Manufacturing, and Technical Support. He joined Hoana in 2003 to lead the product development effort resulting in FDA clearance of initial product in early 2006.  After that effort was complete, he focused his efforts on selecting and managing a supply chain that will scale as the business grows in manufacturing, distribution, fulfillment, procurement and planning.

Previously, he was principal of Matt Glei Consulting for two years, a consultancy in project, program and portfolio management, coaching and collaboration.  Major clients were AT&T Wireless and Nellcor Puritan Bennett (Tyco, now Covidien).

Prior to consulting, Matt was one of five co-founders of ProjectConnections.com, an internet-based website for knowledge workers dedicated to project and team management.  He was VP of Project Management Segment Services, and managed that entire business segment, including new products and services, content creation and management, site animation and custom services to corporations.

Prior to ProjectConnections.com, Matt was Senior Director of Research & Development at Nellcor Puritan Bennett, a unit of Mallinckrodt.  In this role he led R&D and quality efforts in a 350 M$ oximetry business unit, with a staff of 80 and budget of 20 M$.

Prior to Nellcor, he was Product Line Engineering Manager (Section Manager) at Hewlett-Packard and managed all aspects of the development, including strategy, business and product planning for this new business.  Early in his career at HP he was Product Marketing Manager for the same product line.

Matt started his commercial career at Electronics for Medicine-Honeywell as Product Line Marketing Manager for Patient Monitoring, a 25 M$ business.  In this role he also managed all worldwide R&D planning activities and led the technical acquisition team when Honeywell bought Philips’ Electro medical product lines.

Prior to E for M, he was a Clinical Engineer at Tufts- New England Medical Center.

Prior to Tufts, he was a Biomedical Engineering Technician, while attending MIT.
